Message from Program Director

Dear students,

Change is coming down upon us like a snowball and many people are quite unprepared to cope with it. The pace of change is relentless. Tomorrow's world will be different from today's. Global competition, economic condition, political crisis, and environmental concern have exposed a flashing impact in both national and international organizations. The only winning organizations will be the ones that quickly respond to change.

Then, an organization must prepare and adapt to any kinds of change that is the need for a renewing rather than reactive work. Their leaders must not only be flexible and adaptive in a changing environment but they must be able to diagnose problems, implement change programs, and align all elements in the organization. Flexibility, speed, innovation, and the challenge that evolves from constantly changing conditions are valued. To increase productivity, enhance competitive advantages, reduce cost, and improve effectiveness, organizations need to change the way they are organized and managed. The successful worldclass organizations share common characteristics, which include faster, smarter, quality conscious, customer centric, maximizing people's competency, employee involvement, and organization development.

MM in OD&M program will prepare the students with theoretical background together with practical application on how to develop people's potential and capabilities, understand organizational design and environment, plan efficient change process and appropriate intervention program, and align all elements with the shared goals, which signify for organizational effectiveness in an organization.

Congratulations to the future OD professionals. Welcome on board!

Sincerely,

Luis Danai Kristhanin, Ph.D.
