Message from Program Director

Welcome to the Graduate School of Tourism Management at Assumption University of Thailand.

Is an education in tourism and hospitality management worth anything? Apparently, more and more people travel from one place to another. It is not surprising to see that tourism has been claimed to be one of the biggest industry, or perhaps to be more correct the biggest when combines all many industries within the tourism. Then, it will actually be more appropriate to ask me if an education without them has any value at all.

Tourism studies are not about things, not only about business, they are about life. Studying tourism provides a gateway to help understand the human existence, human interaction and therefore help expand our horizons that allow us to appreciate life. Together, the business part and non business part of tourism management offered at our school give you strong analytic and problem solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and the desire to become lifelong learners. These are the tools most valued in the marketplace.

Since 2000, the start of our tourism programme, we have always been a melting-pot of nations and I will do everything that it stays a place of knowledge, a place of creativity and a place of friendship between people from all over the world.

Come and join us!
