OBJECTIVES
Information communication technologies (ICT) have become the most exciting area in a global network. The rapid growth of ICT use such as computer networks, wireless communications, and Internet are generating tremendous changes in human life. There are a list of such a relevant growth and an emphasis on technologies. The faculty is obliged to provide students a comprehensive guide to understand rapid growth and changes in technologies and how to manage the use of those technologies effectively. The faculty's revised strategic plans will help reflect the importance of internal development in terms of educating graduates up to the need of marketplace and future research directions to the mankind in these related fields.
BACKGROUND
The Faculty of Science and Technology was founded in 1990 with two departments: Computer Science (CS) and Information Technology (IT). Later the department of Telecommunications Science (TS) and department of Applied statistics (ST) were established in 1996 and 1997 respectively. At that time A. Krisada Chavananan was the first Dean (1990 - 1991) and A. Sukkree Serivalsatit was the first Associate Dean. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pratit Santiprbhob was the dean between 1992 - 2002 and Asst. Prof. Dr. Supavadee Nontakao was the Associate Dean. At the present, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supavadee Nontakao (2002 - present) is the Dean and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirapun Dangdej is the Associate Dean. Currently, the faculty consists of five departments: Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Science, Applied Statistics, and Technology Management, five research laboratories and one center. The faculty has five administrative staff and three technical staff working at the Faculty Office and various research laboratories and center.
The Faculty Office is located at E Building the 6th floor, Huamark Campus. The telephone extensions are 3681-2 and the direct telephone is 0-2719-1079.
