On October 7, 2025, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) began a new chapter in India today with an inaugural visit to Parul University, led by Rev. Br. Sirichai Fonseka, F.S.G., PhD (President), alongside Dr. Chainarong Rungruengarporn (Dean, MSME) and Dr. Bhumiphat Gilitwala (Program Director, MBA & Smart MBA). Hosted by Parul’s Center for International Relations and Research, the first meeting between the two institutions established intent to collaborate across student and faculty mobility, exchange programs, joint research, and summer courses.
Parul University—an innovation-driven, multidisciplinary private university in Gujarat with strengths spanning management, engineering, health sciences, and entrepreneurship—provides a strong ecosystem of research and industry engagement that aligns with AU’s applied, internationally oriented mission. Discussions with academic leaders and research units explored how co-designed activities can connect classrooms to real-world outcomes and broaden international exposure for learners.
Both sides agreed to develop a practical roadmap that launches short-term exchanges, initiates co-supervised research and publication opportunities, pilots summer offerings in India and Thailand, and explores articulation options that enhance graduate employability. The visit sets a collaborative foundation aimed at delivering tangible benefits to students and faculty while strengthening the teaching and research missions of both universities.
