AU-GSB Faculty Awarded the Cultural Contributor Award from Ministry of Culture

October 2, 2020, Ministry of Culture, Royal Thai Government, awarded “Watana Kunathonn Award (Cultural Contributor Award) to Dr. Apichart Intravisit, Director of MBA Creative Communication Program, Graduate School of Business. Since its conception in 2001, Ministry of Culture has held the Watana Kunathonn Award presentation annually to recognize personalities whose works demonstrate a comprehensive support and contribution towards growth and sustainability of Thai culture and cultural promotion at home and abroad. Dr. Apichart’s contribution to Ministry of Culture over the past 14 years include his role as master of ceremony on numerous international cultural events, international arts and cultural tours in ASEAN, Europe, and Australia, as well as being writer and editor for documentaries and program notes on several occasions.

A faculty member of Assumption University since 2005, Dr. Apichart has given his services to the making of numerable varsity events. Known for his dexterity in language, he was awarded Outstanding Thai Language Public Speaker by the Cultural Bureau of Samutprakarn Province—representing an academic institute in the province. November 2019, during the Papal Visit to Thailand, Dr. Apichart served as TV compere and commentator on the Thanksgiving Mass at National Stadium, and on the Pope’s meeting with the Heads of all religions and churches in Thailand.
