ree

The Opening Ceremony of the new Graduate Student Service Center marked a proud milestone for Assumption University of Thailand (AU), officially opening its doors to enhance academic and student services at Hua Mak Campus on October 16, 2025.

The ceremony was graced by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, who delivered heartfelt and inspiring words of encouragement. In his address, he reflected on the spirit that defines the AU community — one of family, unity, and purpose.

“Here at AU, we see one another as family members. We may not be the biggest institution, but we are proud, united, and deeply committed to doing things the right way,” he said.

Rev. Bro. Sirichai also encouraged students to work hard and uphold the values of discipline, academic excellence, and care for others.

“This is a place where you are welcomed not just as students, but as part of our family. Yes, there will be expectations, but there will also be care, support, and people who are ready to help you grow,” he emphasized.

He concluded by welcoming everyone warmly to this new chapter, expressing his hopes that the Graduate Student Service Center will be a place of guidance, opportunity, and lasting memories for all who walk through its doors.

“Let this be the beginning of something meaningful,  a space where you will be supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve your dreams.”

Hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies, the event welcomed vice presidents, administrators, faculty members, students, and honored guests. The Graduate Student Service Center will provide:

  • A centralized admission center for undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Academic counseling and study abroad guidance through the Office of International Affairs.

  • A Chinese Proficiency Test Center, operated by the Confucius Institute at AU.

  • A range of student services to support learning and global engagement.

This initiative reflects AU’s continued dedication to student-centered education and the pursuit of excellence in both academic and personal development.

The ceremony concluded with warm applause, symbolizing the community’s shared optimism for the center’s role in supporting AU’s graduate students and fostering a spirit of collaboration and growth.
