On August 21st, teachers and students majoring in Art, Music, Sports and Entertainment Management at Assumption University in Thailand ushered in a unique off-campus practical teaching tour. Under the careful planning and leadership of Professor Zhao Chengqing, the students embarked on the road of cultural exploration to the National Museum of Thailand and the Museum of Contemporary Art, and personally experienced and deeply studied Thailand's long history and brilliant artistic achievements.
National Museum of Thailand: Deep Dialogue between History and Culture
In the morning, the teachers and students first arrived at the National Museum of Thailand, which bears the history of thousands of years of civilization in Thailand. In the museum, precious historical relics quietly tell the past and present of Thailand. The special exhibition area draws a vivid picture of Thai history for the students through rich graphic materials and physical displays, which makes everyone feel as if they had a dialogue with the ancients across the Millennium through time and space. In addition, the exquisite lacquerware, porcelain and other artworks on display not only show the exquisite skills of traditional Thai crafts, but also profoundly reflect the unique charm of Thai culture, which inspires students' strong interest and in-depth thinking about traditional culture.
Museum of Contemporary Art:
Passion Collision between Innovation and Tradition
In the afternoon, the team moved to Museum of Contemporary Art, where more than 1,000 outstanding works by artists from Thailand and around the world are showcased, as an important platform for contemporary art exchange and innovation. In Mr. Boonchai Bencharongkul's private collection exhibition area, the students were deeply attracted by the works full of creativity and imagination. These works not only show the artists' profound insight into Thai society, culture and beliefs, but also convey the unique creativity, belief system and way of thinking of Thailand and its people through unique artistic language. Students have said that this visit not only broadened their artistic horizons, but also inspired their infinite reverie and inspiration for contemporary artistic creation.
This off-campus practical teaching activity came to a successful conclusion. Through a day's visit and study, the students not only gained rich knowledge and valuable practical experience, but also implanted a love for art, culture and history in the depths of their hearts.
