From Bengaluru to Bangkok: Christ University Strengthens Ties with AU

Christ University, Bengaluru, India visited Assumption University on February 9,2026 to re-bridge academic collaborations.
Prof. Linu Lonappan - Department of ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING and Mr. Dennison Joseph - Associate Director, Office of the International Affairs, Christ University were heartily welcomed by Asst.Prof.Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, Vice President for Educational Innovation and Graduate Studies and his team, to explore collaborations between the two institutions, drawing upon their Catholic backgrounds and their convergence in common academic interests.
The two visitors were hosted to a campus tour and then participated in a sumptuous lunch in the Hall of Fame, at the Cathedral of Learning after which a meeting with the faculty leaders of the Vincent Mary School of Engineering and Science and Technology was held at the
Gabriel Mary EV Research Center.
The discussions that ensued in the meeting saw potentials and collaborative pathways in both the academic and practical agendas, and research collaborations in Sustainability of the environment. The guests were hosted to dinner at the grand celebration of the 41 st Anniversary of the Graduate Schools, the 40 th Anniversary of the establishment of the Theodore Maria School of Arts and the 10 th Anniversary of the Confucious Institute at Assumption University in collaboration with Tienjin University of Science and Technology, China, P.R.
