Future Leaders, Present! AU Kicks Off Orientation for Graduate Students

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) rolled out the red carpet for its newest freshmen (ID 682-XXXX) with an energetic and inspiring Welcome Event at the Hua Mak Campus. Organized by the Office of Graduate Studies and the Office of International Affairs, on August 30, 2025, the half-day celebration combined fun, learning, and friendship to kick off the students’ academic journey in true AU style.

The day began with a lively registration session and warm greetings from the MC, followed by an uplifting welcoming speech from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rawin Vongurai, Assistant Vice President for Research and Academic Services and Associate Dean of GS-BATM, who encouraged the new students to embrace every opportunity AU offers.

One of the highlights was the ice-breaking activity, “Find My Friend,” which sparked laughter and connections as students got to know one another. The energy carried into an engaging session on the Essentials of the Office of Graduate Studies, ensuring students understood the support and opportunities available to them.

A thought-provoking workshop led by Dr. Sirichai Preudhikulpradab, MBA.HTM and Ph.D.HTM Program Director, further equipped freshmen with insights and motivation to navigate their studies with confidence.

The event wasn’t just about academics—it was about belonging. The Hua Mak Campus tour allowed students to explore their new academic home, while a group photo captured the spirit of community and camaraderie.

The morning wrapped up with a networking lunch, where friendships and connections blossomed over good food and lively conversation. Students who completed the post-event survey were delighted to receive a special GSB souvenir, a token of welcome from AU.

As the program concluded, the atmosphere was filled with optimism. Faculty and organizers sent off the students with heartfelt wishes for success, reminding them that they are now part of AU’s vibrant international family.
